Crude oil prices topped $88 a barrel Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Light crude oil added 88 cents to close at $88.26 a barrel as a tense peace prevailed in Gaza. Home heating oil was up 0.81 cents to $3.0803 a gallon while reformulated blendstock gasoline gave up 0.56 cents to close at $2.7439 a gallon. Henry Hub natural gas was off 0.08 cents to $3.895 per million British thermal units. At the pump, AAA reported regular unleaded gasoline selling for $3.431 per gallon, down from Thursday's $3.432.
