Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met in Berlin friday with the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany Jeodo Vesta Vella. During the meeting, they discussed relations binding the GCC and Germany in different fields, in particular, and the relations of the GCC and the European Union member states, in general. Also reviewed in the meeting were the latest developments at the regional and international arenas in addition to political issues of mutual concern to the two sides. The German Foreign Minister lauded the developing relations between the two sides, noting his country's interest in enhancing the bilateral relations with the GCC member countries. For his part, the Secretary General of the GCC confirmed the GCC member states wish to further boost their relations with Germany and make use of the EU experience in terms of cooperation, integration and development.
