HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani joined in the opening session of the 66th UN General Assembly session held at the NY-based UN Headquarters on Wednesday. HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani , the Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah as well as a number of Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir also attended the session. In his speech before the audience attending the session, HH the Emir appealed to all UN member states to listen to the voice of right and respond to the legitimate request of the palestinians for a full membership to the United Nations , equal to the other world peoples to pave the way for achieving peace in our region. HH the Emir of Qatar reiterated the necessity for updating and developing the order of the UN to cope with the new world conditions and changes which are not linked by interests alone but also through the ruling principles of the civilized behaviour side by side with the unity of interests.
