Matt Kenseth avoided a 20-car crash on the last lap and went on to win Sunday's race at Talladega Superspeedway, the fourth event in the championship Chase. Kenseth took the lead just after the massive pileup on the last turn of the final lap, which was triggered when then-leader Tony Stewart made contact with Michael Waltrip, spun around and ended up on top of Kasey Kahne's car. Several Sprint Cup title contenders were involved the massive smashup, which came at the end of a two-lap shootout set up by Jamie McMurray's crash earlier in the closing laps. No injuries were reported in the mishaps. Kenseth's win was his second of the year following his season-opening triumph at the Daytona 500. Jeff Gordon claimed the second spot, followed by Kyle Busch, David Ragan and Greg Biffle.
