Alexandria - MENA
Students of Alexandria University suspended Thursday their strike after a statement had been issued by the university board to support all students and the university staff arrested in recent events.
The students refrained from attending classes, protesting a court ruling that sentenced 14 girls to 11 years in prison.
They threatened to hold a sit-in in campus and not sit for their term exams.
They stressed that their demonstrations will continue until all detained students are released.
