A three-million-year-old forested landscape was discovered beneath Greenland ice sheet, according to the Economic Times.com. The ice sheet, like a giant freezer, has preserved the antique landscape, said Paul R Bierman from University of Vermont. Understanding the past of Greenland's ice sheet is vital to developing a scientific understanding of ice sheet's futural development, commented researchers. The discovery is based on an analysis of the chemical composition of silts from the bottom of the ice sheet
