The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) today announced its Sponsorship of “Invest in Bahrain 2017 Forum” taking place under the patronage of H.R.H. the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The 12th annual investment conference, which will be attended by hundreds of leading local, regional and internal investors and high-level government officials, is being organised by Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism on 31 October 2017 at the Bahrain International Center for Conferences and Exhibitions.


The Kingdom’s national bank and oldest local financial institution, NBB’s participation in the Forum comes in line with the Bank’s commitment and ongoing support for Bahrain’s economic development and its Vision 2030.

Commenting Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, CEO of NBB, said, “We are delighted to announce NBB’s support and participation in the “Invest in Bahrain 2017 Forum.” From inception, NBB’s core objective has been to support the development and growth of Bahrain’s economy and, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary and six decades of service in the Kingdom this year, we are especially pleased to use this platform to further underscore our dedication to seeing Bahrain continue to grow as a leading regional centre for investment. This Forum will showcase the many opportunities that exist in Bahrain and the vast potential the Kingdom’s economy holds across diverse industry sectors.”

Present at the Forum will be NBB senior management and staff and the Bank will host a stand in the Forum exhibition area for guests and regional media where they can access information on Bahrain’s economy.

Cooperating closely with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in the organisation of the Forum are: Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Economic Development Board (EDB), Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Mumtalakat Holding Company, Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) and Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Co-operation Council (FGCCC).
