Arab summit

The 28th Arab summit will kick off on Wednesday in the Dead Sea with unprecedented Arab leaders' participation.

The summit will tackle a 17-pronged agenda prepared during Arab foreign ministers' meeting on Monday.

The summit will address a raft of political, economic and social Arab issues. 

Jordanian King Abdullah II will chair the summit during which Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz will hand over the summit's chairmanship to King Abdullah.

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit will deliver a speech during the summit alongside United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Yousef al Othaimeen.
