Kuwait\'s National Assembly
The legal and legislative committee of Kuwait\'s National Assembly has approved a draft legislation that would put an end a 13-year-old law that enforces sex segregation at government
and private universities and some schools, Kuwait Times has reported.
The segregation law was passed by an Islamist and conservative-dominated Assembly in 1996 and implementation started three years later only at Kuwait University, the report said.
In 2000, the law was amended to cover private universities and some schools.
