A diabetic awareness programme titled: ‘Ayur Arogya Saukyam’ was conducted recently by Polyclinic Doha Premium diabetic specialist Dr Mubarak Raja as part of the Second Anniversary celebration of Safari Mall. A diabetic medical check up, comprising blood pressure and random blood sugar tests, was also held on the second day of the event. Topics discussed during the awareness programme included Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics, as well as causes and consequences of the silent killer disease. Visitors to the mall on the day also had the opportunity to interact with doctors during the programme, inaugurated by Safari mall and Premium Care Polyclinic officials.
