The GCC Foodstuffs Safety Commission is due to meet in Jeddah tomorrow (Tuesday 20 November). During the meeting, the commission is expected to discuss a number of topics pertaining to food safety most importantly: the GCC Consolidated Code/Law for Food Safety, the directory of procedures of monitoring imported foodstuffs through GCC ports, GCC application mechanisms and warning system for foodstuffs, creation of special risk assessment unit, validity certification regulations, for foodstuffs exports between GCC countries.
