Public and political figures protested on Tuesday in front of King Abdullah I University Hospital in Irbid against the dire financial conditions the hospital is going through. Protesters, including MPs, unionists and academicians, said the financial difficulties were starting to take a toll on hospital health services. They said they would start an open-ended strike if the hospital’s conditions were not rectified by Sunday, calling on the government to pay the hospital’s financial dues as soon as possible to enable it to pursue its duties.
