Egyptian singer Mona Abdel Ghany said that she works currently to increase her artistic activity, as she participates in Part II of “Afrah Iblis” TV drama show, saying that when she received the offer to participate in the new TV drama show, the scenario inspired her and decided to accept the offer.

She added that the role that she is scheduled to perform during the TV drama show will be a turning point in her career due to its different nature if compared to her previous roles. She said that the people used to see her in the role of good and kind woman, while the matter is extremely different this time.

She added that she performs extremely different role this time, as she performs a role of a wicked woman from Upper Egypt who spends year outside Egypt, while she returns to her town to use the religion to achieve personal gains.

She stressed that the role is difficult due to the increasing changes witnessed the character she performs in the framework of the new TV drama work.

She added that the role is a great challenge for her, especially the characterization of the evil character, and reported, "I had to first mastered the upper-class tone and then change the features of my face in proportion to the evil character and the way it occurs specifically.

Regarding cinema, she said she would come back through the film "Very Confidential," and talk about the experience. "It's an enjoyable experience," she said. "I have to deal with a great writer like the writer Wahid Hamed and collaborate with many artists such as Ahmed Al Sakka. She refused to give any comments over her role in the new film, saying that it will be surprise for her fans.

She justified her absence from singing for years by saying, “I was looking for songs aimed at discussing the problem of what is in our lives and I will actually release my music album this month, and will include many songs that I describe as social songs that discuss many social issues with two songs for children in the album.”

She revealed that she will film four songs from the album as a video clip, including one song for children, expressing her aspiration that the new album will meet the aspirations of her fans in all over the Arab world.

She revealed that she will participate in the coming drama season of Ramadan, saying that she will resume the presentation of her program. She praised her experience as a TV presenter, saying that this experience performed a major role to enrich her career.
