One people was killed and more than 20 others were injured when a car caught fire after colliding with a bus on the highway in Ehime Prefecture in Japan's Shikoku Island early Saturday, local press reported. The head-on collision occurred at around 2:00 a.m. local time on the highway in Niihama City in the prefecture. The driver of the car was killed by fire and 23 passengers and the driver of the bus were sent to hospital, local police and firefighters said, adding that several people suffered broken bones. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
