Security bodies foiled an attempt to raid a police station in Minya governorate to break out a number of defendants but one civilian was killed and police sergeant was injured. Security bodies have launched a wide-scale campaign in the governorate to clear roads of street vendors to ensure smooth traffic and arrested a number of defendants in the process and kept them in custody in Abu-Qarqas police station. Relatives of the detainees gathered outside the police station, pelted it with stones and fire arms but security forces deterred them, leaving one citizen killed and a police sergeant injured.
