Hundreds of Palestinians rallied in the southern West Bank city of Hebron in support of two prisoners who have been going on a hunger strike for four months in Israeli prisons. The demonstrators, who rallied in the city\'s center, chanted slogans in support of Same Eassawi who has been going on a hunger strike for 165 days, and Ayman Sharawneh who has been going in a hunger strike for 136 days. The demonstration was organized by the Palestinian Prisoners\' Club Association in the West Bank. Governor of Hebron, Kamel Humaid, spoke to the demonstrators, \" The prisoners\' issue is a priority for every single Palestinian and an address to the people\'s unity.\" The governor warned that the two prisoners \"are very close to death\" as the Israeli Prisons Services still dent their humanitarian demands. He called on the Palestinians for more support to the two prisoners. Jawad Boulos, attorney of the Prisoners\' Club Association, said that the military court of Oufer in the West Bank has informed him that an emergency court session will be held on Thursday to debate the living conditions of the two striking prisoners. Boulos said in a press statement sent to reporters that the Israeli military court\'s decision was made after heavy criticism made by the judiciary apparatus in Israel. The two prisoners are in critical conditions and have been admitted in an Israeli hospital, said their attorney Boulos. Israel is holding in its jails around 4,500 Palestinian prisoners.
