Turkey's anti-terrorism unit has arrested eleven persons of a youth group affiliated to the Organization of the separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the southeastern city of Siirt.

The arrestees were planning to carry out a terrorist attack during the parliamentary elections with the aim of creating chaos in the city.

An investigation is ongoing with them at Siirt security directorate.
