At least 14 people have been killed and 50 injured after two buses rammed into each other on the western side of Bangabandhu Bridge in the town of Sirajganj, northern Bangladesh, Russia Today reported.

Twelve of the victims died at the scene, while two others passed in the local hospital.

A four-member committee was established to investigate the incident, Deputy Commissioner Billal Hossain told local press.
