Makkah Governor Khalid al Faisal on Tuesday said that concerned Saudi authorities have returned about 160.000 violators who did not obtain Hajj permits.

Faisal, who chaired a meeting of the Central Hajj Committee, stressed Saudi Arabia's keenness to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.

"We will not allow disruption of this great religious ritual or any breach of security," he said.

"All preventive measures to ensure the security of the pilgrimage will be applied," Faisal reiterated.
