Two landmine explosions claimed the lives of two civilians and left three others wounded in Afghanistan's Kandahar province on Sunday, Khaama Press reported.

Officials said both explosions took place in Khalil Bagh area.

Samim Khpalwak, the spokesman for the governor of Kandahar province said that a woman lost life and three others sustained injuries in the first explosion.

A passer-by was killed in the second explosion.
