In the village of Al-Issawiah, north of Jerusalem, the Israeli troops detained five young Palestinian activists during a raid on the village. Clashes broke out between the Israeli forces and activists in the village during which the regulars hurled concussion and gas grenades at the Palestinians. An activist, aged 11, was hurt and nabbed by the Israelis during the violence. THe village often witnesses clashes between the Israeli forces and the activists, protesting imprisonment of Samer Al-Issawi, who has been observing hunger strike behind iron bars in an Israeli prison since 100 days ago.
