Two people were killed and several others wounded on Tuesday in a gunfight between militants at Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen in Tripoli in north Lebanon, according to security reports. A citizen from Jabal Mohsen and another from Bab al-Tabbaneh were shot dead in an intermittent exchange of fire between both areas, security reports coming from north Lebanon said. Another five Lebanese people were also injured in the gunfight, the reports added. Triopoli was the scene of security tensions due to a gunfight between both areas on Monday following Syrian TV reports claiming several people from Tripoli and north Lebanon had been killed in Syria in an ambush by Syrian regular forces. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said earlier in the day his government would spare no effort to uncover the fate of those people. He also asked the Red Cross to help retrieve the bodies of Lebanese nationals killed in Syria last week. Lebanon Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour, in his turn, contacted the Syrian ambassador in Lebanon for the same purpose
