Two policemen killed and one soldier wounded on Wednesday evening, Dec. 25, in an armed attack in western Tikrit, Salaheddin province. Police source told NINA that gunmen opened fire on Wednesday evening at a joint military and police checkpoint on the main road in western Tikrit, killing two policemen and wounding one soldier; they fled afterward. He added that a security force rushed to the area carrying search raids looking for the attackers.
