Two American destroyers crossed the Suez Canal Friday en route to the US after ending a mission that lasted for months in the Arab Gulf region and the Gulf of Aden. USS Winston Churchill and USS Farragut crossed the waterway under tight security measures, an official source at the Suez Canal Authority told MENA. Ferryboats were not allowed to transit the canal and car movement was halted on the Sallam bridge as precautionary measures, the source said .
