In an operation carried out on Saturday eventing, Dec.28, a unit from the 12 Division captured 21 members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) near Haweeja district, 65 km west of Tikrit. Source at the 12 military division said that based on intelligence information a special unit from the 12 Division raided a house in which 21 members of the ISIL while taking oath of allegiance to work for the terrorist organization; and document proving that they are members of the ISIL, including an organization’s commander who was to overlook the meeting, near Haweeja district, west of Kirkuk.
