Luxor Attorney General Ahmed Abdel Rahman decided on Thursday to release 24 young people who were arrested during riots outside Luxor police station.
The youths were protesting outside the police station early Wednesday upon news that one of their family members, who was earlier arrested by police forces, was taken to the hospital as a dead body.
The angry locals believe that he was tortured to death inside the police station.
They gathered outside the police station, forcing police forces to fire tear gas canisters and arrest 24 of them.
