Three Americans are missing south of the Iraqi cantabile, Baghdad, the US Embassy in Baghdad confirmed Sunday.

"We are working in full cooperation with Iraqi authorities to locate the missing Americans," US Embassy spokesman Scott Bolz said.

Local sources said that the three Americans have reportedly been kidnapped by militia.
