Sinai – Youssry Mohammed
Egyptian security services have arrested three African migrants on the Egypt-Israel border as they tried to cross into Israel. The arrests were made during a standard border patrol operation by the North Sinai governorate forces. Sources say the trio were trying to cross barbed wire separating Egypt and Israel to enter Israeli territory. Security sources opened fire to stop an attempted getaway from the scene, before the immigrants surrendered. In questioning, the men admitted that they tried to enter Israel to find jobs. They also claimed to pay 1,000 US dollars to gangs who promised them entry into Israel.
