Three China Coast Guard vessels briefly intruded into Japanese territorial waters Sunday around the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea, Kyodo reported quoting the Japan Coast Guard said.
The intrusion was the fifth of its kind this year. China Coast Guard vessels last entered the waters around the Japanese-controlled uninhabited islands on Feb. 6.
China and Taiwan also claim the islands, calling them Diaoyu and Tiaoyutai, respectively.
