Four Russian jet fighters arrived Friday in Iraq to support the Iraqi army in the war against Daesh terrorist group.

The dispatch of jet fighters comes as part of a previous deal between Iraqi and Russian defense ministries.

In its statement, the Iraqi Defense Ministry said the deal aims to rebuild the Iraqi army and improve the combat skills of Iraqi servicemen in the country's war against terror.
