A total of 50 people were arrested on the fourth day of protests against the demolition of the Gezi park in the Turkish coastal city of Istanbul, local media said on Friday. More than 1,000 protesters have participated the \"Occupy Gezi Park\" movement in the past four days despite the police\' crackdown with raids from dawn till night. The police used teargas to disperse the crowds who were protesting the construction of a new mall in the place of the park as part of the government\'s plan to revamp the iconic Taksim Square. According to the Istanbul Chamber of Medicine, more than a dozen people have been injured in the protests. Particularly, several protesters were wounded when a wall they were climbing collapsed during a police chase.
