Defense ministers of the 5+5 initiative called on Tuesday for a political solution to the Libyan crisis, Tunisian Defense Minister Farhat Horchani said.

While opening the 5+5 Extraordinary Summit of Defense Ministers, now held in Tunis, Horchani said the security and military solutions are not enough to face terrorism.

The meeting is part of the 5+5 initiative for cooperation between ten of the Mediterranean countries, including Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Malta.
