As many as 560 Syrian families fleeing the mounting violence in their country arrived at Port Said by sea in Tuesday. All measures necessary were taken to secure the Syrian families heading to Cairo, Alexandria and Ismailia, said Port Said Police chief Mohsen Rady. Syria has been witnessing a mass uprising since mid March last year calling for toppling the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad,leaving thousands people dead and injured.
