A new poll finds that for the first time a majority of Americans would favor sending US troops to battle Daesh.
According to a CBS News poll, 57 percent favor sending American troops into Iraq and Syria to take on Daesh. That’s up from 47 percent in October. Thirty-seven percent of those polled opposed.
The poll also found that 65 percent of Americans believe that Daesh is a major threat to the US, up from 58 percent in October. Eighteen percent believe the terror group is a minor threat, while 13 percent say not at all.
