Six alleged drug gang members have been killed in Rio de Janeiro as police searched for the killers of a young female officer, authorities said Tuesday. Military police conducted raids in several neighborhoods in the city, O Globo reported. Two police officers were wounded in clashes. Alda Rafael Castillo, 26, was shot in the back Sunday in an attack on a police base and died of her injuries at a hospital. Officials said she had been a member of the military police since 2012 and was studying psychology. Another police officer and two bystanders were wounded. Investigators said that weapons, including an AK-47, and equipment used to package drugs have been seized in the raids Monday and Tuesday.
