Turkey air strikes

As many as 650 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) separatists were killed and 500 others injured in air strikes launched by Turkish F-16 fighter jets against their camps in northern Iraq and inside Turkey, security sources said on Friday.

A number of medical and food warehouses and hideouts of the PKK as well as anti-aircraft missile batteries were also destroyed in the air raids, the sources added.

In a related context, six Turkish jets pounded a camp of the PKK separatists along the Turkish-Iraqi border line, killing 18 of them.

Furthermore, some Turkish surveillance drones hovered over the Turkish-Iraqi borders to pursue the PKK separatists who escaped from the air bombardments.
