Seven Iraqis were killed and 31 others were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast near markets and cafes in Dora area, southern the Iraqi capital, a security source said on Saturday. The IED went off near public markets and cafeterias of a local district in Dora area, killing seven people and injuring 31 others, a source in Iraqi interior ministry, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told KUNA, adding that ambulances rushed into the scene and transported the injured to Yarmouk hospital and bodies of the dead to the morgue. Furthermore, the Iraqi police cordoned off the area immediately following the blast, and closed all leading roads to the area, as well as dispersed civilians to avoid life losses in case of a second explosion.
