Seven Iraqis were killed after a double suicide bombing targeted a security checkpoint in Taji town, to the north of the capital city, on Thursday. A suicide bomber, wearing an explosive belt, blew himself up at the checkpoint, while another drove a vehicle loaded with explosives close to the site, a police source told KUNA. The blasts claimed seven lives, mostly security personnel, while 12 others were injured and transferred to nearby hospital, the source added.
