Four-fifths of responding Japanese are fearful that terror incidents such as the recent attacks on Paris could take place in Japan, a Kyodo News survey showed on Sunday.
The opinion poll also found that the support rate for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Cabinet rose to 48.3 percent from 44.8 percent in October, while 40.4 percent said they do not support the Cabinet, down from the previous 41.2 percent.
In the wake of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks, claimed to have been carried out by the Islamic State militant group, 79.7 percent of respondents said they believe similar deadly incidents could occur in Japan.
