Central Istanbul explosion

A Syrian suicide bomber is believed to have carried out the deadly attack on a historic central square in Istanbul that killed at least 10 people and injured 15 others, Russia Today quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying on Tuesday.

At least six Germans, one Norwegian and one Peruvian were injured in the blast, Erdogan added.

They were carried to hospital for treatment.

Erdogan said the Turkish Cabinet will announce results of investigations into the terrorist bombing later.

Turkey is determined to uproot all terrorist groups, he said, adding that such terrorist attacks aim at breaking unity of the Turkish people.
