Afghan Defense Ministry on Monday said at least 88 militants and 11 troops were killed during Afghan army operations in six out of country's 34 provinces whiten recent few days.
The ministry said, in a statement, that the 11 soldiers were killed in separate bomb attacks and direct fire across the country.
The Taliban militant group has intensified attacks over the past couple of months as the Afghan security forces assumed the full security responsibility from NATO-led troops since January 1.
