Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday met with European Council president Donald Tusk and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Abbas and Tusk discussed the latest developments in Palestine as well as the deadlock in negotiations between Palestine and Israel due to intransigence by the Israeli government.
Abbas assured Tusk that Palestine have been committed all the time to the international efforts to push the peace process.
He stressed the importance of the role played by Europe to settle the still-unresolved Israeli-Palestinian dispute.
Tusk, for his part, stressed Europe's support for peace and stability in Palestine and the whole region.
