Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was qouted on Wednesday, saying he is prepared to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu if the latter was ready to achieve peace on the basis of establishing a Palestinian state on the pre- 1967 lines.The Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University quoted Abbas, saying that he is prepared to meet Netanyahu at any time and that he does not rule out addressing the Knesset or the possibility that Netanyahu would one day be invited to speak before the Palestinian parliament.Abbas outlined the Palestinian goals as follows: strengthening the two-state solution, where Israel would exist in security and stability alongside a Palestinian state created on the pre- 1967 lines with east Jerusalem as its capital; placing the borders of a Palestinian state under Palestinian control, and not that of Israel; and discussing the issue of the refugees in line with the Arab Peace Initiative and UN General Assembly Resolution 194.The full interview with Abbas will be aired during the institute's annual conference next week.
