Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday received Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog in Ramallah.

Abbas stressed the Palestinian side's commitment to the peace process based on the resolutions of international legitimacy for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al Quds as its capital.

He also stressed the need to implement the obligations of each party to launch serious negotiations that lead to ending the occupation and achieving peace and stability in the region.
