Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan received a phone call from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The two sides discussed means of promoting joint cooperation in the fields of economy, education and energy for the best interests of the two countries, according to WAM News Agency on Thursday.
They also probed the latest regional and international developments.
During the phone call, Abu Dhabi's crown prince offered condolences for Abe and the Japanese people over death of the two Japanese hostages killed by the Daesh terrorist organization.
He also condemned the terrorist acts which tarnish religions and values, urging the international community to be strict in fighting terrorism so as not to harm security and stability on the regional and international levels.
Abe expressed his appreciation to UAE's support to Japan.
