Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday strongly condemned a terror attack in the Turkish town of Suruc that left at least 31 dead and around 100 others wounded, Khaama reported.

Ghani said that terrorism became a common threat for the region and world, urging joint and serious action for eliminating it.

Ghani has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the attack and extended condolences to his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

At least 31 persons were killed and over 100 others wounded of a blast that ripped through a rally on Monday in the Turkish border town of Suruc.

The Turkish government is calling the explosion a suspected suicide bombing.

The explosion occurred at midday at the Amara Cultural Park in Suruc, where a group had gathered calling for more help to rebuild the Syrian Kurdish city of Kobani.

Suruc is about six miles from the border and Kobani, the Syrian city that was the scene of intense fighting between Syrian rebels and Kurdish forces against Daesh.
