Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby expressed his disappointment after the tripartite meeting of the UN, Russia and the United States failed to set a date for the long-delayed Syria peace talks in Geneva. At a news conference, Al-Araby told reporters that he was expecting a totally different outcome out of the tripartite meeting. He was also quoted as saying: "our goal, in the Arab League, is to stop the bloodshed in Syria", stressing that setting a date for Geneva II is a gateway to any political solution to the crisis in Syria.
