Al Azhar called Friday on all Arabs and Muslims to reunite in order to support Palestinians in Gaza, who are being subjected to Israeli air raids. Al Azhar’s Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayib released a statement today calling on all Palestinians to stand united against what he said was Zionist cleansing of Palestinians from the West Bank and the Gaza strip. He also criticized world super powers which he said neglected their humanitarian and international responsibilities by supporting the Israeli raids. He said that the international law always favored the strong. He called on Muslims worldwide to express their rejection to the Israeli aggression.
