Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir met here today with South Sudan Vice President Riek Machar who arrived here earlier in the day. Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and means of bolstering them, in addition to pending differences between the two countries and developments related to arrangements for the implementation of the joint cooperation agreement and the pooling of efforts to serve the interests of the two countries’ peoples. The talks were preceded by a close session by the vice presidents of the two countries that focused on the oil issue, securing of borders and the halt of assistance to rebels.
