The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Tahir, has affirmed the importance of pushing forward the relations between Sudan and Britain through the exchange of visits and not to depended on media reports which have always conveyed negative image on the situation in Sudan for political purposes. During his meeting with the delegation of the British House of Lords at his office Sunday, Al Tahir denied existence of any tensions in the Sudanese - British relations, pointing to the historical relations between the two countries. Al-Tahir also affirmed stability of the political and economic situation in Sudan, particularly after the signing of the cooperation agreements with the South Sudan State. He briefed the visiting delegation on the aggression of the so-called Revolutionary Front affirming that this front is isolated internally and externally. On their part, the visiting delegation members asserted that their visit enabled them to be assured that the global media were fabricating information and portrayed Sudan as an insecure country. They also stressed the importance of exchnage of visits between the parliamentarians in the two countries as well as visits of delegations from around the world to Sudan to stand on the reality by themselves. The visiting British delegation has appreciated the role of Sudan parliamentarian women in promoting for the peace culture.
